Heavy on the bottom, light on top
Stack sturdy, uniform boxes with the heaviest at the base. Fill boxes completely so they don't crush, and label every side.
Lift items off the floor
Even in our dry-built units, pallets or 2×4s under furniture add airflow. Use furniture covers and leave a small gap from the walls.
Disassemble what you can
Take apart bed frames and tables, and bag the hardware taped to each piece. Stand mattresses and couches upright to save floor space.
Make an aisle map
Store things you'll need sooner near the door, and keep a simple list of what's inside. Future-you will be grateful.
Protect the delicate stuff
Wrap glass and electronics, and drain fuel from mowers and trimmers before storing. Ask us if you're unsure about a specific item.
